PlumDrama fulfills orders for so many different types of parties.  We’ve seen everything from weddings to Mitzvahs to baby showers to 80th birthday parties.  And one thing we get asked quite often is to find the perfect personalized party favors for kids!

It’s a topic that’s fun for us to consider.  Kids are much more free-spirited than adults.  So, the party favors for kids are also much more whimsical and fun.  When you’re considering personalized party favors for kids, here are the things you should keep in mind:

1. Candy is always a hit.  This isn’t news you wanted to hear, and it’s not news that should surprise you.  But there’s a reason someone (very smart!) coined the phrase: “Like a kid in a candy store.”  It’s because kids love candy.  And if you’re looking for a personalized party favor for your kids event, I highly suggest our candy tins.  These come in many different flavors of candy, and the kids keep the party favors after all the candy is gone as a memento from the party they just had.
2. Flavor of candy is also important.  When the kids are younger than 15 or 16, we’ve noticed that our fruit or cinnamon flavored candies are most popular.  After that age, we get more requests for peppermint candies.  Don’t ask me why.  I guess as we age, we become more aware of bad breath!  But it’s an important point to consider as you’re deciding on the personalized party favors for your kids next party.
3. Put the date of the party or the birthday.  We get this question ALL the time!  Customers don’t know whether to put the date of the event as the personalized information, or the date of the birthday!  It’s not always the same.  Many birthday celebrations are held for the weekend, while the actual birthday might fall on a different day.  What’s our suggestion?  Do whatever you want!  There’s no rule. The point of our personalized party favors for kids is to just have fun.  It’d be different if it were a wedding, but for kids party favors, the personalized information can be anything.
4. Make sure you have enough.  This rule applies to kids and adults as well.  The other rule that applies to both age groups is: Make sure everyone has the exact same thing.  You’d be surprised how many grown-ups complain about getting cinnamon when so-and-so got peppermint.  I know…it sounds whiny and complaining, but it’s the sad truth.  As we get older, we might have more responsibilities to manage, but one thing stays the same: We’re still kids!
