Extravagant parties

Most people in this country will never attend a party with all-you-can-eat caviar and champagne fountains made with vintage Dom. That’s why - as a nation - we love to gawk. At least, I do. I love to wonder at the extravagance of the ultra wealthy. I covet their fancy cars and I judge their (often) dysfunctional interactions with one another. And of course, I wonder what they hand out as party favors
So in tribute I thought I’d put up a few links on the extravant parties that have occurred recently, so that you can stand in condescending judgement along with me. Shall we?
- Atlanta PEACH Magazine launch party. Hosted by Pamela Anderson and held at the InterContinental in Bucktown.
- Dennis Kozlowski $2 million dollar 40th birthday. Yeah…That’s million baby. This party was thrown by the former CEO of Tyco International. “Former” because now the guy’s in jail serving a prison sentence for hijacking (and wasting) company funds. Gee…I wonder how anyone ever noticed.
- Just when you thought party excess had no limit…Wall Street tycoon Steve Schwartzman spent $3 million on his birthday party! It really makes you wonder how there can be people starving in this world when there’s that much money going around for a party! Oh well…whatever gets you through the night, right?
And these are just the few crazy parties that pop up on the first page of goole!
