What better way to entertain young children at your next birthday party, than by incorporating one of the most popular shows on TV? As you’re probably already aware, Blues Clues is a TV series about a dog who solves a different puzzle with each episode. The show is on Nickelodeon and is a huge success. Here are some basic birthday party ideas to help with this theme.
Invitations:
Make sure all of your guests know that it’s a Blues Clues party. This will give a chance for those who are not familiar with Blues Clues to do a bit of research. It’s never any fun to be the only kid at the party who doesn’t understand what’s going on.
Make sure you incorporate some kind of “Blue” theme on your invitation. Whether it’s the loveable Blue himself drawn as an image on the invitation, or whether the lettering is printed in blue. The invitiation sets the tone for the party, so make sure you get it started right.
One fun idea we’ve seen is to tell all the guests to dress in Blue!
Food & Drink:
Blue is the order of the day, and the kids will have a lot of fun if you serve food that’s blue. Blue Kool-Aid or blue frosting on the birthday cake. Use your imagination to think of “blue” foods that the kids will all find amusing.
Make sure you serve the food on blue plates and cups. There are plenty of places that sell officially licensed Blue Clues cups, plates, and napkins, but if you can’t find them at your local grocery store, or want to save a little bit of money, using the blue color might be a good substitute.
Keeping food and drink consistent with the birthday party theme is a great way to tie your theme together.
